My 30-Day SEO Roadmap
Week 1: Foundation Setup
- Benchmark rankings, clicks, and conversions
- Identify money pages (not just traffic drivers)
- Audit crawl vs. index vs. rank fix mismatches
- Compare GSC & GA4 data for drop patterns
- List top 5 business competitors (not keyword ones)
Week 2: Fix Technical Blocks
- Run a full site crawl with Screaming Frog or Sitebulb
- Prioritize Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, FID)
- Review internal linking depth
- Clean up redirects, broken links, sitemap, schema
- Validate structured data with Google's tool
Week 3: Keyword Game Plan
- Build 3 keyword buckets: BOFU, MOFU, TOFU
- Map 1 keyword to 1 URL (no cannibalization)
- Look for location + niche combo phrases
- Use actual SERP analysis, not just keyword tools
- Skip KD 80+ and informational fluff
Week 4: Reoptimize Existing Pages
- Find pages ranked #6–#15 → update them
- Add missing FAQs, H2s, internal links
- Refresh CTAs & match to intent
- Fix weak intros, outdated stats, missing schema
- Push republishing to signal freshness
Bonus Tips
- Set weekly progress updates (Slack / Loom)
- Track GSC, GA4, and crawl logs from Day 1
- Flag quick wins and longer battles
- Share insights with team, not just reports
- Keep a live SEO doc to avoid duplicate work
What I don’t do in Month 1
- Write 10 new blogs
- Build backlinks randomly
- Obsess over domain rating
- Create bloated reports
- Chase vanity keywords
